All ladies are invited to a Bible Marking session on Monday, May 8th from 7 to 8:30 PM. Bible Marking is a simple, easy tool that allows you to have topical answers at your fingertips. The Bible tells us to always be ready to give an answer for the hope we have (1 Peter 3:15). However, most of us are sent scrambling to Google to answer questions about the Bible. Not all rivalries take place on the football field. This year, we want to have a little fun with the UM vs MSU rivalry and restock our food pantry to help those in need this winter. Here’s how it works: in the back of the auditorium you will see a display. One side represents the Spartans and the other the Wolverines. You help your team win the Food Pantry Challenge by purchasing non- perishable food products and putting them on the side you want to win. It’s that simple. Each item counts as one point. Every week, there will be […]

A new addition to our Walk 4 Water this year is a ‘fishing derby’.   These fish are made of recycled paper beads handmade by Christians in the Philippines as part of a sustainability program that believes in that saying: ‘if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.  If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.’ These bracelets come in a variety of colors and each tells Jesus’ parable of the Fish and the Loaves. Each bracelet is only $5 and ALL proceeds go to Walk4Water! If you’re interested, contact […]

The Hispanic Ministry at the Vinewood Church of Christ in Southwest Detroit needs our help. They are once again participating in the “Love in Action Day” on August 27th as part of the annual Unity Event sponsored by several area Churches of Christ. On that day they will be giving away clothing and school supplies to people in their community. They have asked for our help to collect basic school supplies such as: pencils, pens, erasers, scissors, glue, rulers, notebooks, crayons, paper…. And, if your kids have any old backpacks or lunchboxes that are in good condition, bring those in […]
