Walk 4 Water

Published May 17, 2014 by LPCOC in Links

Every day in developing countries, women and children walk an average of four miles to collect the water their family needs for the day. Not only is this chore keeping the children from school, the dirty water they are bringing home is killing them at an alarming rate!

Walk 4 Water is a four-mile fundraising walk that began in Nashville, Tennessee in 2007. Since that time, thousandshave joined the effort to bring clean water to people all around the world.

For the past 5 years the Lincoln Park Church of Christ has held a walk-a- thon raising more than $20,000 for clean water. The 2014 walk will be in October.  For more information about Lincoln Park’s Walk 4 Water, CONTACT:  Matthew Perry.
