It’s something that corresponds to; or is similar in pattern.
- Baptism is the line dividing Christians from non-Christians.
- Baptism is the line dividing the saved from lost.
- Baptism is the line dividing the saint from the alien sinner.
Consider Noah and his family for a moment.
- God was the authority and power that saved Noah.
- The water was the method that saved.
- The ark was the place that saved.
Likewise, Under Christ
- Christ and His blood are the authority and power that saves.
- Baptism is the method that saves.
- The church is the place that saves.
